Can you believe another holiday season is here? Arguably the busiest time of year, the holidays can also be the most magical. No matter how your family celebrates, the most important thing is to remain present with your child, even while you’re navigating the endless to-do lists this time of year brings. How? We’ve got you covered.
5 Ways to Stress Less: Holiday Edition
1. Get quality time on the calendar
Schedule your family time ahead of time. Cookie decorating? Classic holiday movie night? Game night? Marveling at the neighborhood lights? Decide what's most important to your family and lock in at least one date now. It might even spark a family tradition for years to come!
2. Shop (but don’t buy!) in advance
Begin your browsing now but don’t press purchase yet. Instead, save links, windows, and shopping carts until it’s time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. (Pssst: we’re very excited about our Summer ‘24 course lineup and have a Cyber sale of our own coming!)
By prepping your cart, you can click “purchase” on Black Friday without the stress of researching items on a day better spent with family.
3. Gift experiences instead of material objects
Studies show that gifting an experience can have a lasting impact on kids, more so than the newest trending toy. And while gifting an experience has so much value, the event is often something that’s far in the future.
Create anticipation for what’s to come with an activity like a scavenger hunt that sends kids around the house or neighborhood in search of clues for their gifts. Or build hype by giving your child Robux as a symbol of upcoming summer Roblox Camp to promote excitement.
4. Make winter break productive (and fun!)
Winter break is full of magic, but sometimes too much downtime means screen time and stir craziness. Private lessons are the perfect way to add just the right amount of structure and productivity into your child's day. Keep them engaged over break with topics they’ll love while you carry on with that standing meeting.
5. Honor the spirit of the season
While planning is essential, remaining flexible is key. No matter what, kids will be kids. Things will not always go according to plan. Being able to adjust and keep things in perspective matters, and a great way to do that is to instill the importance of gratitude and giving.
Things like volunteering at community outreach events can help kids understand the full breadth of the holiday season, and it might make your child fall in love with it even more.
Stress less this holiday season! Start planning now, create wonder for your kids, and let the spirit of the season handle the rest.
