The winter holidays are here, and with travel and gatherings with friends off the table due to COVID-19, we all could use a little extra festive cheer!
After saving Halloween and giving away 1 billion pieces of candy, we are so excited to again make some virtual holiday magic. (We’ve got all the details for the event below, but you can RSVP right now, right here to join in the fun.)
“We wanted to create a truly authentic and exciting in-game experience that can be enjoyed anywhere in the world as we continue to social distance,” said Pete Ingram-Cauchi, iD Tech’s CEO.
“We knew we had to go over the top when creating a virtual holiday world because most families will be staying home this year. With so many kids already being in remote learning for several months, we felt they more than deserved a safe space to experience all of their favorite holiday activities.”
When is the event?
No holiday parties this year? Snow problem!
We’re counting down the hours until the event kicks off on December 26, 2020 at 1PM PT! The Block Party will be live throughout the winter holidays, ending January 1, 2021 at 10PM PT.
What are the details?
The event is free to play and easy to join! Our incredible team of gaming pros have been working nonstop to create something really special: an immersive, virtual winter wonderland in Roblox!
The party will have some seriously cool features. Specifically, players can expect great things like:
- The largest virtual snowball fight EVER
- Santa selfies
- Gingerbread houses and festively lit neighborhoods
- Nightly fireworks with a New Year’s grand finale
- Holiday gift collecting
- And more!
Parents and kids alike are looking for safe ways to celebrate and connect with loved ones. With this event, players will have endless opportunities to spread holiday cheer all season long from the safety of home.

Kids deserve to revel in the merry-making magic of the holidays, and parents deserve an option that is safe and inspires STEM learning opportunities.
Plus, at sign-up, players will have an opportunity to embrace the spirit of the season by giving back and spreading joy to those adversely impacted.
Specifically, iD Tech is offering free access to the experience to anyone who signs up. But in addition, iD is offering two other options: VIP tickets for $15 and Premium tickets for $10.
A VIP ticket will provide players with exclusive extras in-game and a complimentary iD Tech Online Private Lesson, which is taught 1-on-1 by an experienced iD Certified Instructor (a $75 value).

Philanthropy is a fundamental part of iD Tech’s core values. Since inception, the company has granted more than $6 million in life-changing educational experiences to underrepresented communities. iD Tech donated more than $250,000 in computers and hardware to nonprofits and underserved students to address the digital divide, exacerbated in 2020.
